Amazon Athena is an interactive query service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that allows you to analyze data directly in Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) using standard SQL queries. It is a serverless service, meaning that you do not need to provision or manage any infrastructure. Instead, you can focus on writing and executing SQL queries to analyze your data.
This integration enables you to do the following:
- Connect to any AWS Athena endpoint from a single computer with secure login, eliminating the need to provide authentication.
- Integrate AWS Athena jobs with other Control-M jobs into a single scheduling environment.
- Attach an SLA job to your AWS Athena jobs.
- Introduce all Control-M capabilities to AWS Athena, including advanced scheduling criteria, complex dependencies, quantitative and control resources, and variables.
- Run 50 AWS Athena jobs simultaneously per Control-M/Agent.

- Control-M 20.200 and later
