BMC Helix Operations Management Log Analytics

This Service configures the reading, parsing, and ingestion of system and application logs. 

What you get:

BMC will perform the following in one environment:

  • Conduct workshop to gather requirements
  • Prepare Solution Design Document
  • Download and install Log Analytics Connector* on up to five servers to be monitored
  • Configure connections to select and forward data from up to three log file types to BMC Helix Log Analytics
  • Create policy to generate an event
  • Create up to three Log Analytics dashboards with up to four Dashlets*
  • Prepare Test Strategy and System Test Plan
  • Prepare Construction Document
  • Assist Customer with functional testing (up to 2.5 days)

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Providing access to the Helix environment
  • Providing access and privileges on servers for the deployment of Log Analytics Connectors
  • Providing a service account with privileges required for log monitoring
  • Conducting functional testing

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager. Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

Pre-requisites:

  • BHOM must already be onboarded and configured for user access
  • Firewall ports must be open between monitoring environment and BHOM
  • Customer must provide a privileged service account for log monitoring
